Gulf of Mexico 墨西哥灣漏油事件

On April 20, 2010, the offshore 1)drilling rig Deepwater Horizon 2)exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, killing 11 workers and injuring 17 others. The explosion also damaged the 3)wellhead which caused crude oil to 4)leak into the Gulf, leading to one of the largest oil 5)spills in the world. Tens of millions of gallons have been spilled into the Gulf since the explosion, and the company British 6)Petroleum, or BP, was largely to blame for the incident. BP has been held accountable for all cleanup costs resulting from the oil spill, and crews have been working 7)nonstop to clean up hundreds of miles of beaches and 8)wetlands along the coastal areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
